Over the last two decades, the leaf business has taught us how to plan and execute complex processes and handle all the challenges that farming this very sensitive product unearths daily. From generators on standby to teams of people on rosters throughout the day (every day).
Spreading and managing risk is something the Madron team does as routinely as setting our alarms for pre-sunrise wakeup calls. We currently grow eight different types of lettuce, four different herbs, and a range of baby leaves. With each type, we aim to plant two different varieties so that, should a variety suddenly be stopped by a seed supplier, our supply to our customers won’t be affected.
