Tech and Innovation

The future of farming, today

At Madron, we believe that hydroponics and regenerative farming practices are the future of farming. So, this is where we’ll be innovating – on the engine of our business which is farming, while respecting the lifeblood of our collective livelihoods; Mother Nature.

Championing sustainability-centred technology and innovation is not optional for us, it has to be done

Not only is hydroponics a credible farming method, perfectly suited to leaf farming, but it also has a positive impact on the environment as it uses far less water and covers much less of an area than soil farming.

The way we see it, we do the pioneering work now so that we’ll be able to convert others through evidence-based results later.

Our push to expand our range goes hand-in-hand with our drive to achieve greater sustainability – from seed to shelf – because there is more at stake if we don’t do this.

“From ways to protect our soil and keep our crops in the soil longer to our softer farming ethos and journey towards a truly biological approach, we promise to always be looking for ways to do what we do best, better. And, as our track record reflects; we keep our promises.”
R&D that makes a real difference

With an in-house, specialised research division and dedicated innovation department, we’re as passionate about our cold chain remaining unbroken from harvest to delivery as we are about knowledge sharing and reducing our impact on the environment.

It’s because we recognise the challenges of modern farming and the threat of climate change that we respect the role we play in rising to overcome these challenges.

Driven by data, steeped in science

We are a data-rich business. From our data that ensures expected growth cycles to our meticulous temperature monitoring that extends shelf life, all aspects of what we do and how we do it are designed to enable accuracy of production, consistency of supply, and clarity of communication.

We approach farming scientifically; using the data available to improve existing processes and implementing cutting-edge innovations. We keep our finger on the pulse of future farming technology because incorporating more sustainable options is more than a long-term strategy, it’s a legacy project.
